Primary Document
"To The People Of Great Britain, From The Delegates.... Of The Colonies"
http://www.masshist.org/revolution/image-viewer.php?item_id=667&mode=small&img_step=1&tpc=#page1
This document, a pamphlet to the English people from the colonists government, simply states the injustices that are being done to the colonies by the crown, and casually brings this matter to light. The colonists are politely ask for their grievances to be redressed, hoping that they can repair and renew their relationship with their King and over-seas government.
This document is significant because the colonists are really just trying to repair their relationship with the Crown and in no way are they threatening or demanding anything. However, the Crown turns a cold shoulder to the colonists, not even acknowledging the pamphlet. The continuation of grievance against the colonies and the ignoring of their asks for favor brought about much dissent among the people.

"Indentured Servitude in the Chesapeake"
http://college.cengage.com/history/us/kennedy/am_pageant/12e/students/primary/chesapeake.htm
The source depicts the prosecution of six servants and a negro belonging to Captain William Prince as they are up for death sentence. The offenders received, however, much less severe discipline in lashings and extended servitude.
As a direct and seemingly unbiased account of the prosecutions, it provides insight onto legal treatment of servants and slaves in colonial America.

"The Mayflower Compact"
http://www.nationalcenter.org/MayflowerCompact.html
The Mayflower Compact was basically a document saying that the people wanted to form a single government to all fall under, who decided laws by voting and majority rule, and said that all the people would obey the laws together.
This source was significant because it was a significant step towards democracy, and self rule. When the people agreed to be all under one rule, it was a symbolic event, which said that basically they were all in it together, and started the beginning of this great country.
