The US Statement on the Status of Armed Merchant Vessels
This document talks about what kind of ships would be allowed to pass, and how they would not destroy them unless they posed a threat to the safety of the US. The Germans did not do something similar to this, and just proceeded to blow up ships left and right, such as the Lusitania, so I can only assume that the US didn't want to be hypocrites, so they decided to make this in case they came across ships that has ammunition/armaments.
This document is significant because it showed that the US didn't want war, but at the same time, they would just sit there and let people stock up on supplies to push them around later. This document is specifically important because it shows that the US means business, and also set an example for other countries to copy in terms of the status of armed merchant vessels.

Europe after the Treaty of Versailles
This map shows how Europe was divided following the victory of the allies. It includes the demilitarized zone on the border of Germany, which was established to provide France with a buffer between itself and Germany. This map also reveals how the Germans lost no territory whatsoever in the war, but Austria, Hungary, and Poland were all newly formed nations in an attempt to free the Poles from oppression while dividing Austria-Hungary to prevent any future entanglements.
